Addressing Water Quality
Water Quality is a burning issue in many areas of Assam. As a mitigation measure for Arsenic and Fluoride affected areas, Department has taken many Piped Water Supply Schemes from Arsenic and Fluoride free surface sources and Ring wells in phased manner as per availability of Fund.
Altogether mitigation measure has been taken as follows:
Arsenic affected habitations = 2358 No.
Fluoride affected habitations = 639 No
